Visualization Boards For Law Of Attraction

Published by ahhmoments at 3:23 am under Law of Attraction, Processes, Visualization

In order to manifest our desires we must first know what they are. The more specific your choices in what will make your desire fit you perfectly, the better. By that I mean, don’t say you want a new car. Do you want a new, (to you), used car or one straight off the showroom floor? What options would make your heart sing? What color do you crave? Do you have to have the engine that roars when the gas pedal is pressed or are you more interested in fuel economy? Do you want the feel of driving a manual transmission or is an automatic more comfortable? Does the sunshine streaming through a sunroof thrill you? Do you want the latest GPS system? What about the audio/video system? Make your choices of the details and write them down. While you are doing that make yourself a list of all the things you want to manifest. You’ll need them in the next step of these manifestation processes.

The Visualization Board On Foam Board or Poster Board

If you saw Oprah’s show on the law of attraction with Louise Hay, Martha Beck, and Cheryl Richardson, you saw Martha and Cheryl show their personal vision boards. Martha said she needed to make a new one as everything on the one she was showing had happened. There are several ways to do this. We’ll begin with vision boards like those shown on Oprah. By the way a summary of that episode can be found on Oprah’s site - Go Beyond The Secret.

You’ll need something to use as a background. A sheet of poster board will work, but I like using the foam core board for it’s strength. Next gather pictures from newspapers, magazines, printed from the Internet, or any other form you have available. If you are an artist, sketch your own images. If it’s an item such as a car, you can get a brochure by dropping by a dealership. Some dealers are offering to mail printed material if you’ll sign up for the mailing list. You can also print pictures from an Internet site. I’ve also taken digital pictures of cars at a local dealer. That’s particularly good if they happen to have in stock the car that fits the color and body style of your dream car. Take your time accumulating images. Make it a fun thing to do. Not a chore. The pictures don’t need to all be of material things. You can use pictures which suggest a feeling. You can print out words, or phases, even affirmations.

Once you have a group of pictures of all you want to manifest, you can cut them out, and paste in place on the foam core or poster board. I use a glue stick for this. You may want to lay out the images before you begin pasting them down. You can make it a collage by overlapping things. Enjoy the creative aspect of this. If you are an artist, you know what I mean by getting in the zone, of the creative process. That’s half the fun of this project.

Blogger Christine Kane gives more info on visual boards in her post dated Feburary 1,2007.

The Virtual Visualization Board

Another way to do a vision board is to use a software program. I’ve seen this one mentioned on several sites but I have not used it myself. It’s called, oddly enough, Vision Board. It retails for $59 but comes with lots of extra law of attraction information.

This web site is an online vision board program. It requires a monthly subscription, but has a free trial. I made use of the free trial period to try it out for this article. I found it fairly simple to use. They have many images and affirmations which you can use. There’s also the option for uploading your own photos, of things like that car at the local dealership that marches your dream car, or writing your own affirmations. I did find it a bit slow on my computer when I’d save after making a change or when first opening a folder of their images for them to load. The monthly fee at the time of my trial was $5.95. You can find it at The Official Vision Board Site.

Another online site with a yearly membership fee of $29, after a free trial is My Masterboard. I’ve not tried this one so don’t know how easy or difficult it is to use. I can only give the link as another source to check out.

If still vision boards don’t inspire you, how about a video? Go to YouTube and search for keywords like visualization or manifesting and you’ll find many examples of vision board videos. You might even come across mine made using tutorials and free software from MindMovies. If you have a computer with Windows XP there is a program on it, called Windows Movie Maker, which is a simple to use video maker. I’ve even used it to make scrapbook videos of the grandkids. For a visualization board video I suggest using goggle image search or do a goggle for image search engines for other sources. There are also many stock photo sites which have free images available.

I’ll leave you with these for now. Until next time.

Blessings and hugs,

Sue
