Philanthropy

Service and tithing are age old ways to express love for others. It’s the gift that keeps on giving because what you give comes back to you. I dedicate this space to the hope of a better world for those unable to help themselves.

Giving Anonymously

Giving Anonymously is a non-profit organization facilitating generosity between people. We are a volunteer organization; each of us donates our time without pay to keep Giving Anonymously running.

Giving Anonymously began in 2005 with our website up and running in early 2007. We began with a few goals in mind: We wanted to relationally connect people through giving, to make it fun, and in the process protect relationships from feelings of obligation. Giving to others in need can be full of mixed motivations and our hope is to facilitate Pure giving.

Anyone who enjoys putting cash under a friends door or in their mailbox will often times not know if their friend actually got the gift and they cannot hear what it meant to them. So, we came up with an idea to have a messaging line where recipients could call after receiving their gift. When a recipient doesn’t know who gave the gift to them they are even more free to express their gratitude and we capture this through voice files that we email to the donor.*

Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation

LBWF is a non- profit, 501c3 tax deductible organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandon animals from the harsh streets of the Los Angeles area, as well as from the overcrowded and overwhelmed city and county animal shelters.

The foundation consists of Linda Blair, award-winning actress, humanitarian, and recipient of the coveted Los Angeles Proclamation, dedicated friends, supporters, and many wonderful volunteers.

As a child, Ms. Blair was taught to respect all animal life, and had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. As an adult and public figure, she has chosen to shed light on the crisis in America that we call animal cruelty. Ms. Blair realized this task was bigger than her lone efforts and felt it necessary to ask for help by becoming The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a 501c3 California non-profit organization.

LBWF is a unique safe haven for animals providing top-quality, life long care to the animals it rescues. The emphasis is on proper nutrition, first class medical care, comfortable facilities, training, socializing, and of course, an abundance of love. We ensure that every animal has a second chance at life, as well as a forever, loving home.

Using Ms. Blair’s status as a public figure, we bring much needed attention to growing problems surrounding animal welfare. Calling upon the media as an outlet, we are able to educate and raise awareness on important issues such as pet overpopulation, dog fighting, the senseless ideals behind breed specific banning, and the most recent crisis animals who fall victim of home foreclosures in our tough economic times.*

Save The Family

We help children in homeless families by treating the whole family with programs to break the negative cycles of poverty, abuse, and homelessness. We strengthen the Valley’s communities by facilitating the transition of families to financial and emotional self-sufficiency.

The success of our whole family approach is what has distinguished the work of Save the Family. In fact, it has proven effective for approximately 90% of our clients who complete our program. Typically, these families successfully transition back into the community within an average of 8 months.

Moreover, Save the Family is not a big international organization with huge overhead. In fact, 90% of the money received goes directly to benefit homeless families.*

Family-To-Family

Family-to-Family (F-to-F) is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting families with more to families with less. The program creates a bridge between suburban communities with enough to share and some of our country’s most impoverished areas.

Our members welcome the concrete responsibility of shopping for, packing, and sending a carton of fundamental necessities to a family they “sponsor.” Husbands, wives and children in blessed corners of the world are eager to link themselves, over time, to moms, dads and kids living in abject poverty. They share the sentiment of anthropologist Margaret Mead, who once said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.” *
