Today’s Ahhmoments

Do you have those moments when you stop and go “ahh!”? Ahhmoments are
not
to be
confused with aha-moments
Ahhmoments are not to be confused with aha-moments, which are more about making a mental connection than a spiritual connection. You know, the light bulb going on kind of thing. So what’s an ahhmoment? Think Kodak moments. Or Hallmark. All those commercials make me cry with joy because they call that ahhmoment feeling to my heart. It’s when you see a baby smile. Or hear their first word. It’s when you stand beside your adult children as they pledge their hearts to the one they love. It’s when you watch a bird in flight enjoying the sheer fun of gliding the wind currents before a storm, as I did this afternoon. It’s watching your child or grandchild being born. It’s hearing your children, or in my case, grandchildren call out to you with glee as they run into your arms. It’s being in touch with your spirit. Of feeling your connection with God, the Universe, Source, or what ever name you use. It’s feeling everything is right in your world, even if it’s not. It’s love. It’s joy. It’s bliss. It’s every wonderful feeling earthly life can offer. It’s an ahhmoment. What ahhmoments have you experienced today?

I’ll add to the following list as ahhmoments occur to me.

  1. Watching a pair of wild turkeys cross the rode in front of my car. I haven’t seen wild turkeys in this area before.
  2. Hearing my two month old granddaughter, Alex, giggle for the first time.
  3. Being in the flow while working on this site.
  4. Having my oldest grandson, Shay, tell me he loves me without being bribed!
  5. Having my cat lay in my lap for a petting. That purr gets me every time.
  6. The neighborhood children laughing while they play outside.
  7. Seeing the joy my three year old granddaughter, Ariel, gets from watching Disney’s Tinkerbell again. In a week she’s seen it at least three times a day.
  8. Cuddling under the blankets with my granddaughters on a chilly wet Sunday morning.
  9. Seeing the look of delight on the face of my grandson, JD, when he sees me.
  10. Waking up to the sound of raindrops on the roof after a week of grass fires in nearby areas.
  11. Getting cold wet kisses from my cats.
  12. Knowing all is well.
  13. Feeling the tingle of my connection with my soul.
  14. Fixing another problem that occurred with the software for this site.
  15. Enjoying every ahhmoment of my weekend.
  16. Sitting here writing this to you, my reader.
  17. Being pain free!
  18. Feeling safe while the world goes crazy over the economy.
  19. Rick Springfield

  20. Blissing out at a Rick Springfield concert.
  21. Making new friends at every Rick Springfield concert I attend.
  22. Hearing my youngest son’s daughter, Shelby, say DaDa by video. Note to Catlin: Yes, I cried.
  23. Hearing any of my grandchildren laugh.
  24. Knowing life is great and knowing I made it that way.
  25. Anticipating more of everything grand in my life.
  26. Bookstores. I love bookstores! The smell of them when you walk through the door. The knowledge they contain.
